To make matters more challenging, most of my tools were on site at a client project so I really had to think creatively. A table lamp should be no more than 1.5 times the height of the table and and the shade should never be wider than the table. The living room above uses lamp height and symmetry well. Notice how the top of the floor lamp and the top of the table lamp are about the same height? Ideally, you want 18-24″ between your furniture in a living room but that’s hard to do in smaller mobile homes.
